Work-life balance quotes to help you stay focused on what’s important, avoid burnout and still be productive.
One of our principles at Taskable is to help our users get more done in a shorter amount of time. That way, they have more time for other things.
The fact is, we waste a lot of time at work, whether it’s searching for an email or document, or procrastinating on a small task. If Taskable helps you be more efficient with your time, you have more time to enjoy life outside of work.
Work-life balance ensures you provide yourself enough time for personal pursuits without allowing work to fill all your waking hours.
More and more, there is recognition that time spent at work does not necessarily mean more productivity or better outputs. Moreover, overworking can backfire, leading to burnout and reduced overall productivity. The fact is, you need time away from work to recharge and approach your job refreshed. Furthermore, if you work smarter, you reduce the number of hours you have to put in to get the same result.
Parkinson’s law states that work fills the time available for it’s completion. If we decide to work 12 hours a day, then we will be sure everything we need to do that day will fill in those 12 hours. However, you can likely produce the same output in a shorter amount of time using tools like timeblocking and better prioritizing. Hopefully, this leaves you with more time for yourself, your family, and your non-work pursuits.
